Hi,
I am a 46 old woman suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for the last 9 year. I have tried allopathic medicine but I feel relief till I take the medicine. I feel swelling in my whole body and mostly on my ankle, fingers and toes, I even have stiffness and muscle pain like in fever. The stiffness and swellings goes away if my bowel is clean up. Is there any best homeopathic remedy to cure immune system disorder ,the root cause of rheumatoid arthritis? Even my mother and her parents suffered this.

The remedy that I prescribe for patients who present Osteo Arthritis is Argentum Metallicum 6c (AA) in the Wet dose. Some patients who used this remedy for Rheumatoid Arthritis confirmed that they were helped by the AA and it may be worth your while to use it and see if it can also help you.

I cannot believe that your mother and your grandparents also suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis and it is possible that your doctors have misdiagnosed all of you as it is very likely that you all suffer from Osteo Arthritis and NOT Rheumatoid Arthritis which is a rare disease and is caused by infection after a cold by the Beta Hemolyticus  Streptococcus which is difficult to be treated.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

You can add another remedy to my therapy. Add Arnica 30c in the Wet dose as this remedy will also help all of you to return to normal.

i coud’nt see your message but as soon as i have seen your message i brought the medicine. But still confused that how many times and till when i should take the medicine. And should i take Arnika 30c with the above medicine or after completing the above dose i should start arnika 30c. Dr please prescribe me medicine for my sunken and dark eyes and even i am gaining too much weight. I am at the stage of menopause and my periods are irregular.

Please take both remedies as prescribed, leaving an hour between each, twice daily.

Arnica will help your other problems and I shall prescribe another remedy in about a month to reduce your weight safely.

I note that you intend using the therapy I have prescribed PLUS the therapy prescribed by AJAZDITTA.

I would prefer that you use this therapy and if it works you do not have to use mine.

DO NOT MIX 2 therapies together as the result is usually counterproductive.

thanks for ur treatment. i am feeling much better now. doctor i want to know one thing that if i will stop the medicine than will the pain start again? for how long i have to take this medicine. all my swellings have gone.

Glad to note that your RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) which you first reported on the ABC on this thread and from which you stated that you have suffered from for the past 9 years has be controlled within the period of just under 2 months with my therapy aka “Joepathy”.

You must continue with this therapy for a further period of 2 months to make a total of 4 months and we can then modify the dosage which I shall indicate to you at that time.

In the meanwhile, please indicate precisely what remedies you are taking today with their dosage.

You can take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets taken twice daily after meals to help with reducing your weight. You will also have to cooperate by exercising and refrain from eating fat forming foods. Also drink plenty of water up to 3 liters daily.

There is a remedy that can help with dark circles under the eyes but I prefer not to prescribe it for fear of an overload of remedies which can affect your Rheumatoid Arthritis.

You can take Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily to help with your Menopausal problems.

It is my hope that the classical homeopath who is usually wont to criticize my Joepathy will take note of this case.

Most of us have been brainwashed into believing that life is only possible to be lived to the fullest if the requisite medicinal drugs are taken on a regular basis. Regular health checks are promoted and are being carried out in private hospitals after which the patient is advised by the consultant that unless the drugs prescribed are used, the chances of the patient surviving without catching some life threatening disease in the future are high. It is strange that the patient who does not have any disease is often frightened into taking drugs which can be considered as being unnecessary or non-essential, and are usually sold at high prices often in some hospital pharmacies.

This has led to a pill popping culture that many innocent people, especially those in the upper strata of society, have been following for many years,  purely as ‘insurance’ to ensure that they do not succumb to some disease that has been vaguely mentioned. They are not aware that their reports on blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar are found normal but they have been told it is best to take some drugs to avert the formation of cholesterol and plaque in the arteries and thereby ensure that a possible heart attack in later years, is averted.

It is rarely that the patient is advised to control his or her diet and refrain from eating fatty foods with special reference to fast foods and to also start a daily exercise routine to ensure that he or she sweats it out and replaces the sweat lost with liquids preferably water, in adequate quantities to ensure that the body is kept at peak efficiency.

The unsuspecting patient is not aware that most of the drugs taken have some side effects on the body and this often results in another drug being given at a later consultation to treat the problems caused by the first.  It is also possible that these unnecessary drugs can predispose the patient to other problems and also to be infected by a wide range of diseases including dengue for which there is no known curative drug. But according to Joe De Livera, Sri Lankan representative for Homoeopaths without Borders, a homoeopathic remedy is available for dengue and any other viral flu – as referred to in one of our editorials recently. This is known as Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200c, which is used internationally and has in Sri Lanka, saved the lives of many who caught this disease and were fortunate enough to use this Remedy within a few days after being infected by this highly infectious disease.

Public health experts emphasise that western medical drugs alone cannot possibly cure all diseases in Sri Lanka. There are many forms of alternate medicine practiced here including Ayurveda and Homeopathy both of which are established and practiced and can be co-opted to cure disease, especially Dengue. Unfortunately Homeopathic remedies are not used officially by the medical profession in hospitals where patients continue to suffer as a result of a lack of a National Health Policy. It is fortunate in India that these two curative sciences are accepted and officially used by the government side by side with western medicine to help cure diseases.

Billions of rupees are being spent in importing more than 10,000 varieties of drugs under various brand names. Public health experts have appealed that the state health authorities open their eyes to the realities of life and follow the example of India and make greater use of both Ayurveda and Homeopathy in alleviating human suffering and  eradicating disease.

GlaxoSmithKline to pay $3bn in US drug fraud scandal

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is to pay $3bn (£1.9bn) in the largest healthcare fraud settlement in US history.

The drug giant is to plead guilty to promoting two drugs for unapproved uses and failing to report safety data about a diabetes drug to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The settlement will cover criminal fines as well as civil settlements with the federal and state governments.

The case concerns the drugs Paxil, Wellbutrin and Avandia.

Deputy US Attorney General James Cole told a news conference in Washington DC that the settlement was “unprecedented in both size and scope”.

Doctors bribed
GSK, one of the world’s largest healthcare and pharmaceuticals companies, admitted to promoting antidepressants Paxil and Wellbutrin for unapproved uses, including treatment of children and adolescents.

The illegal practice is known as off-label marketing.

The company also conceded charges that it held back data and made unsupported safety claims over its diabetes drug Avandia.

In addition, GSK has been found guilty of paying kickbacks to doctors.

“The sales force bribed physicians to prescribe GSK products using every imaginable form of high-priced entertainment, from Hawaiian vacations [and] paying doctors millions of dollars to go on speaking tours, to tickets to Madonna concerts,” said US attorney Carmin Ortiz.

As part of the settlement, GSK agreed to be monitored by government officials for five years.

GSK said in a statement it would pay the fines through existing cash resources.

Andrew Witty, the firm’s chief executive, said procedures for compliance, marketing and selling had been changed at GSK’s US unit.

“We have learnt from the mistakes that were made,” Mr Witty said. “When necessary, we have removed employees who have engaged in misconduct.”

Glaxo settles healthcare fraud case for $3 billion

Washington: GlaxoSmithKline Plc agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor criminal charges and pay $3 billion to settle what government officials on Monday described as the largest case of healthcare fraud in US history.

The agreement, which still needs court approval, would resolve allegations that the British drugmaker broke US laws in the marketing and development of pharmaceuticals.

GSK targeted the antidepressant Paxil to patients under age 18 when it was approved for adults only, and it pushed the drug Wellbutrin for uses it was not approved for, including weight loss and treatment of sexual dysfunction, according to an investigation led by the US Justice Department.

The company went to extreme lengths to promote the drugs, such as distributing a misleading medical journal article and providing doctors with meals and spa treatments that amounted to illegal kickbacks, prosecutors said.

In a third instance, GSK failed to give the US Food and Drug Administration safety data about its diabetes drug Avandia, in violation of US law, prosecutors said.

The misconduct continued for years beginning in the late 1990s and continued, in the case of Avandia’s safety data, through 2007. GSK agreed to plead guilty to three misdemeanor criminal counts, one each related to the three drugs.

Guilty pleas in cases of alleged corporate misconduct are exceedingly rare, making GSK’s agreement especially unusual.

The agreement to settle the charges “is unprecedented in both size and scope,” said James Cole, the No 2 official at the US Justice Department. He called the action “historic” and “a clear warning to any company that chooses to break the law.”

The settlement includes $1 billion in criminal fines and $2 billion in civil fines.

GSK said in a statement it would pay the fines through existing cash resources. The company announced a $3 billion charge in November related to legal claims.

New ‘era’ at GSK

Chief Executive Officer Andrew Witty said the misconduct originated “in a different era for the company” and will not be tolerated. “I want to express our regret and reiterate that we have learnt from the mistakes that were made,” he said in a written statement.

The GSK settlement surpasses what had been the largest criminal case involving a drugmaker in US history. In 2009, Pfizer Inc agreed to pay $2.3 billion to settle allegations it improperly marketed 13 drugs.

The cases follow a trend of US authorities cracking down on how pharmaceuticals are sold, in part because of the rising cost of providing drugs through government programmes.

Part of civil fines address allegations that, from 1994 to 2003, GSK underpaid money owed to Medicaid, the healthcare program for the poor run jointly by states and the federal government. The company had an obligation to tell the government its “best prices” but failed to do so, prosecutors said, and $300 million of the settlement will go to states and other public health authorities.

A portion of the $2 billion in civil fines may go to a group of whistleblowers who contributed to the government’s investigation and who are eligible to share in the recovery under the False Claims Act. Cole said the amount has not been determined.

‘Integrity’ plan

As part of the settlement, GlaxoSmithKline agreed to new restrictions by the US government to prevent the use of kickbacks or other prohibited practices. The inspector general of the US Department of Health and Human Services will oversee the “Corporate Integrity Agreement” for five years.

The company will not be able to compensate its salesmen based on sales goals for territories. It was also required to change its executive compensation program to allow the company to “claw back” certain pay for those engaged in misconduct.

Witty said GSK’s US unit has “fundamentally changed our procedures for compliance, marketing and selling. When necessary, we have removed employees who have engaged in misconduct.”

Prosecutors have not brought criminal charges against any individuals in connection with the GSK case, although the settlement expressly leaves open that possibility. Cole declined to comment on the possibility of future charges.

Almost exactly a year ago GSK agreed to pay nearly $41 million to 37 states and the District of Columbia in an unrelated case about substandard manufacturing processes at a Puerto Rico factory.

In 2010, the company took a $2.4 billion charge in connection with Avandia to settle claims from patients.

GSK’s shares were positive on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, up 1.6 percent to $46.29 at 1400 EDT.

The case is US vs GlaxoSmithKline LLC, US District Court for the District of Massachusetts, No 12-cr-10206.

I saw your post on another thread about Hemophilia.

It is difficult to treat in any manner what so ever.

However, in homeopathy…Ficus Ind Q (mother tincture ) can stop bleeding quickly. It also prevents future hemorrhages.

I agree with you that Hemophilia is a disease that cannot ever be cured. It is only prevalent in boys and it is the mother who is the carrier as her genes are carried over to her children and affects only the boys.

I have experimented with many remedies but have through a process of elimination settled down to just 2.

Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.
This remedy seems to show great promise as the mother of one 10 year old boy is only using this remedy alone which she has regularly replenished by me regularly. She has indicated that the other remedy she was given by me, Lachesis 200 in the DRY dose is not required any more as her son does not bleed as he used to do in the past when he was an  infant. When I first saw him as a 6 month old baby his limbs were all covered by blue spots which indicated internal bleeding and clotting. Later on when he was walking he used to be taken to the Children’s Hospital which is about a 100M from my residence in Colombo and it was there that they had first diagnosed his disease which they used to treat with Hemofil M which was given IV. The baby was horrified at the pain and when he was about 5 years of age he just refused to go to hospital.

It was then that I started to experiment with various remedies and settled upon the two mentioned above.

The boy is now 10 years of age and the mother only gives him Arnica 6c in the Wet dose twice daily and she reported that he does not bleed as he used to do in the past and seems to be normal.

I have also treated another boy whose mother consults me occasionally and I have given him the same remedies which seem to have helped him.

I shall keep your advice in mind and shall use Ficus Ind Q which I shall order with my next stock of remedies from Mumbai. Can you inform me if you have any hands on experience in the use of this remedy ?

I was simply amazed when I was informed by the mother that she does not use the Lachesis 200 anymore as she found that it was not required today as she only uses the Arnica 6c in the Wet dose twice daily for her son.

It was just that I thought that I had helped the boy with both remedies which she was giving him but about 3 months ago when I inquired from her as to why she did not want the Lachesis 200 pellets any more, she simply amazed me with the news about Arnica 6c alone controlling his Hemophilia and she assured me that it was not a problem anymore.

I do hope that this discovery of mine which can again qualify for the term JOEPATHY can be shared with the hundreds of thousands of Hemophiliacs in the world today and I believe that I have been successful in controlling but NOT CURING this disease which is due to some gene which only affects boys and which is carried on through generations by the girl children.

I would request you to spread the word about my discovery to your medical friends and also request them to use Lachesis 200 in the Dry dose to arrest any normal bleeding after say a deep cut. This remedy works in about 20 minutes and the bleeding just dries up.

The problem I have with Homeopathic remedies is that I cannot buy them here in Sri Lanka as for some reason the government has prohibited the free import of Homeopathic remedies as I believe the medical profession is suspicious of all Homeo remedies as I have proved that they CURE diseases like Chikungunya which they cannot do even today.   They are well aware of my record on CKG but when I suggested that I give them the remedy which they can use in many hospitals in areas that were affected by CKG they informed me that they could not use it as it was against their rules. There were at least 30 patients who lost their lives through CKG and I could only pray for them as I could have saved at least half their lives with Polyporous Pinicola 200c in the Wet dose which I used privately for about 200 patients who had discovered that I had the magic cure. I also used Gelsemium 30 in the Wet dose as a prophylactic to ensure that the inmates of a household who had a CKG patient did not catch this dreaded disease. I was the first Guinea Pig to use Gels as my wife contacted CKG but I did not have Poly P to treat her and she suffered for months till I got it and she used it even after she was cured after about month of agony as the residual after effects of CKG continue even after 2 years with needle prick like pains in various parts of the body.

the Government recognizes homeopathy as an effective mode of medical intervention.

On Dordarshan..the official TV News Channel of Govt. of India there are frequent ads where a young mother is saying that she is using homeopathic medicine for her baby boy and that it is effective in keeping the baby boy healthy.

I was simply amazed when I was informed by the mother that she does not use the Lachesis 200 anymore as she found that it was not required today as she only uses the Arnica 6c in the Wet dose twice daily for her son.

It was just that I thought that I had helped the boy with both remedies which she was giving him but about 3 months ago when I inquired from her as to why she did not want the Lachesis 200 pellets any more, she simply amazed me with the news about Arnica 6c alone controlling his Hemophilia and she assured me that it was not a problem anymore.

I do hope that this discovery of mine which can again qualify for the term JOEPATHY can be shared with the hundreds of thousands of Hemophiliacs in the world today and I believe that I have been successful in controlling but NOT CURING this disease which is due to some gene which only affects boys and which is carried on through generations by the girl children.

I would request you to spread the word about my discovery to your medical friends and also request them to use Lachesis 200 in the Dry dose to arrest any normal bleeding after say a deep cut. This remedy works in about 20 minutes and the bleeding just dries up.

The problem I have with Homeopathic remedies is that I cannot buy them here in Sri Lanka as for some reason the government has prohibited the free import of Homeopathic remedies as I believe the medical profession is suspicious of all Homeo remedies as I have proved that they CURE diseases like Chikungunya which they cannot do even today.   They are well aware of my record on CKG but when I suggested that I give them the remedy which they can use in many hospitals in areas that were affected by CKG they informed me that they could not use it as it was against their rules. There were at least 30 patients who lost their lives through CKG and I could only pray for them as I could have saved at least half their lives with Polyporous Pinicola 200c in the Wet dose which I used privately for about 200 patients who had discovered that I had the magic cure. I also used Gelsemium 30 in the Wet dose as a prophylactic to ensure that the inmates of a household who had a CKG patient did not catch this dreaded disease. I was the first Guinea Pig to use Gels as my wife contacted CKG but I did not have Poly P to treat her and she suffered for months till I got it and she used it even after she was cured after about month of agony as the residual after effects of CKG continue even after 2 years with needle prick like pains in various parts of the body.

5 1/2 Month Old with Reflux and “asthma”

My son was born on March 12, 2011 and is a happy spitter. By that I mean he throws up a lot, but it does not bother him. He is happy, gaining weight well (born at 9lbs 9oz and at 5 1/2 months is 21 lbs). He eats well and sleeps well. He is only breastfed.
At about 2 months old he got a chest cold. This required 2 weeks of nebulizer treatments. Medications Xopenx and pulmicort (we are in the US). Following that he got another chest cold and ear infection. Another round of nebulizer and antibiotics.
His cough cleared but still sounded weezy. Therefore, the weezy chest and frequent spitting up lead my pedi to diagnose him with reflux and perscribe zantac and daily nebulizer treatments. After one month and the weezing did not improve he was switched to prevacid and a referal to pedi pulmonologist who took him off the nebulizer, but put him on advair twice a day.
I do notice that they days he spits up more he is weezy. Otherwise he is a very happy, very healthy baby.
I’d like to get him off the prevacid and advair if at all possible. Our pedi and pulmonologist have all said we wont know if it’s real asthma until the reflux clears and who knows when that will be.  I dont like the idea of him being on these meds if there is something natural that could help him.  I’ve been reading briefly on Nat Phos 6x. My husband also suffers from acid reflux, high blood sugar, pressure and triglycerides so this could be a help to him too? BUT, my first priority is my son and his reflux.

I note your reference to Nat Phos 6x and this is indeed the remedy I have prescribed for many babies who have suffered from symptoms like your son’s, the majority of whom were cured. Your baby son’s case is more complicated as he suffers from both GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease) and Asthma. The steroids prescribed are responsible for his abnormal increase of weight which at 21 pounds is excessive for his age.

I am horrified that your pediatrician(s) have prescribed the whole gamut of drugs prescribed for adults including PPI drugs — Prevacid and Zantac for your baby’s GERD and prescribed Advair and Xopenx and Pulmicort plus Nebulizers with steroids for his Asthma. It is likely that he could not have survived for long on this dangerous regimen and you must consider your baby as being very fortunate that you posted his critical condition on the ABC at this juncture in his life.

It is very likely that your son’s Asthmatic problems stem from his GERD and I shall be interested to see how he responds in a few weeks after you start on my therapy aka “Joepathy”.

I would like to start him off on 1 tablet Nat Phos 6x after every feed and Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily for his GERD.

The remedy for his Asthma is Nat Sulph 6c and Ars Alb 30c both remedies to be taken in the Wet dose once daily.

It is very likely that his Asthma will cease when his GERD is cured.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Leave about half hour between remedies but give him the Nat Phos 6x dissolved in a teaspoonful of milk or water immediately after a feed.

It is understood that you will stop using all the drugs prescribed for your baby and only use them on a SOS basis if essential.

Please report his progress on a daily basis. You will appreciate that this is essential as you live in the US and I in Sri Lanka. This is the type of case that is usually treated directly during a consultation but both you and I can see the result of how your doctors have treated your baby’s case in the only manner that they have been taught to do with the most powerful drugs which are know to affect even adults. You have only to Google “Danger of using PPI drugs” to verify my statement.

Dengue is a virus borne disease which is highly contagious and is transmitted by the Aedes Egyptii mosquito which can be identified by the zebra like black and white markings on its thorax and abdomen. The onset of the disease usually starts when the patient feels unwell and runs a low temperature with acute body pains and splitting headache which usually follow within 24 hours after the onset of the  disease.

“Dengue is transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito infected with any one of the four dengue viruses. It occurs in tropical and sub-tropical areas of the world. Symptoms appear 3—14 days after the infective bite. Dengue fever is a febrile illness that affects infants, young children and adults.
Symptoms range from a mild fever, to incapacitating high fever, with severe headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain, and rash. There are no specific antiviral medicines for dengue. It is important to maintain hydration. Use of acetylsalicylic acid (e.g. aspirin) and non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g. Ibuprofen) is not recommended.

Dengue haemorrhagic fever (fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, bleeding) is a potentially lethal complication, affecting mainly children. Early clinical diagnosis and careful clinical management by experienced physicians and nurses increase survival of patients. ”

I have used the Homeopathic Remedy  Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200c in the Wet dose to treat many patients presenting Dengue and the majority have confirmed that they experienced perceptible relief in about an hour after their first dose, when their throbbing headache left them. They also reported that their excruciating body and joint pains left them within 2-3 hours.  I have received reports from patients who used this therapy that they were CURED within just 3 hours and they were patients who were treated by me within a few hours after they first presented Dengue.

Some patients have reported that they suffered from a low temperature on the second day, perhaps due to the Virus attacking the temperature control center of the body. The patient must rest and drink plenty of fluids till the temperature drops and if it continues, it is best to enter hospital as it is possible that the Blood Platelet count may have dropped in the case of the Hemorrhagic type of the Dengue Flu when more invasive methods of treating the disease with a Blood transfusion may be called for.

It is best to treat all cases of a Fever as Dengue as early as possible at this time,  as we are in the midst of an Epidemic of Dengue in Sri Lanka where I live. Consider other methods to eradicate dengue

Despite all the remedial or preventive measures, the dengue and viral flu epidemics have reached their worst-ever proportions this year with some 115 deaths and more than 14,000 people being affected by dengue. It is clear that western medicine or allopathy has had little effect in curbing the epidemic and the government needs to act urgently in uitilisng remedial measures available in other forms of medicine. Health action groups have for several years been urging the government to work out a National Health Policy where all forms of medicine – ayurveda, alopathy, homoeopathy and acupuncture among others are outlined and the different forms of medicine are used to treat different ailments. While the government works out a National Health Policy as a long-term measure a Sunday newspaper reported that the Sri Lanka representative of Homoeopaths Without Borders says homoeopathy has a safe and effective remedy for dengue and the viral flu.All patients may not be cured as fast and effectively as some have been, but it is known that homoeopathy has no side effects and there is nothing to lose but everything to gain in giving patients this remedy.

According to representative Joe de Livera, who has studied and has been closely associated with this science for the past 40 years and been a consultant on many homoeopathic forums including his own www.joedelivera.com,  this remedy was used at the request of the Colombo Municipal authorities last year by a homoeopath Dr Imthias Latif. He treated patients at municipal centres in Kompanna Veediya, Kuppiyawatta, Mattakkuliya and at the epidemiology centre of the Colombo Municipality. Thousands of patients were treated by this homoeopath and the majority confirmed they were cured overnight.  A meeting was held at the World Health Organisation (WHO) office in Colombo in August last year. It was attended by the WHO chief here, Dr Harsha de Silva the Health Ministry’s Director of Health in charge of the Western Province and several doctors. The discussion centred on promoting the use of homoeopathic remedies, but unfortunately follow up action was not taken.

Last Friday the Health Ministry discussed this possibility and we hope that action will be taken at least now.

Homoeopathy has a specific remedy which has been prescribed and used for more than two centuries but the remedies are highly diluted to infinitesimal levels and do not qualify for logical acceptance of their efficacy, although they have been proved to work to cure many diseases like asthma, eczema, gastritis and fever, to mention just four common diseases that affect people.

The homoeopathy remedy used is Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200c which is often used to treat a disease of viral origin.

The liquid dose method is used in giving remedies where three drops of the remedy are mixed in alcohol into a 500 mililitre bottle of spring water. After just one teaspoon of the remedy many patients are likely to recover.

We hope this cure will be considered seriously by the Health Ministry and western medical professionals for the common good of the people and the country as it is likely to help in eradicating dengue before it reaches endemic proportions.

This is a first person story of how I treated 2 patients who presented an unknown malaise which hit them suddenly within a matter of a few hours which I presumed was caused by a Flu Virus of unknown origin. It is likely that this virus may have been the Dengue Virus as we have been in the throes of a mosquito borne epidemic of Dengue during the course of the past year in Sri Lanka. Statistics from the General Hospital show that over 2000 patients have died due to this Dengue Flu after it was identified as Dengue and they reported 20 fatalities last month, July 2011.

My first patient was a 45 year old man who is the Chef in my residence and has been with me for the last 7 years. He complained of an unusually strong headache 2 days ago and he informed me that he had taken 2 tablets of Panadol 3 times during the day which did not provide him any relief whatever. It is rarely that he takes any rest for a headache as he is a strapping 6 footer but around 6.30PM I saw him in his room all covered up and shivering with a slight temperature. He complained of excruciating body pain and informed me that he had never encountered such intense pain ever since his bout with Chikungunya 3 years ago which I cured within 24 hours with my default remedy Polyporous Pinicola 200 in the Wet dose which I have referred to in another article.

I have over 500 remedies in my stock of Homeopathic Remedies and gave him Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200c in the Wet dose at 6.30PM. I was very surprised to find him back in his kitchen having a hearty meal precisely 3 hours after, at 9.30PM. He was all smiles and confirmed that his acute headache seemed to leave him in under half hour after his first dose,  which is a teaspoonful,  and he had fallen into a deep sleep from which he woke up shortly before I saw him at 9.30PM. He reported a dull headache yesterday and he is perfectly well today without any body pain or headache.

I was so thrilled with his almost miraculous recovery that I took a bottle of water which I had activated with Eupatorium Perf 200c to office yesterday to distribute to any member of my staff who had any similar problem. One of the members of my organization received a phone call informing him that his 18 year old son, a strapping lad 6ft and a Rugger player for his school,  had contracted the Flu virus that his sister 16 years, had suffered from for the last week. His recovery was almost identical to my Chef’s with acute headache, excruciating body pains and a slight temperature. The same remedy was given by the father to his son and the recovery was again almost identical to the last case,  as the boy had a good dinner under 3 hours after his first dose.

I have been discussing my therapy today with other Homeopaths in Colombo and they confirmed that they too have used Eupatorium P. in other potencies 6c, 30c, and 200c but that they had never observed a response comparable to mine,  within 3 hours when the patient who was virtually groaning in pain suddenly woke up, fully recovered. They all thought that this almost instant recovery was due to my use of the Wet dose which is made by inserting just 3 drops of the remedy into a 500ml bottle of Spring water which is shaken hard or “succussed” before every dose to increase the potency of the remedy by a minute level as this seems to help the patient to recover more quickly.

Known as “Bone-set”, from the prompt manner in which it relieves pain in limbs and muscles that accompanies some forms of febrile disease, like malaria and influenza. Eupatorium acts principally upon the gastro-hepatic organs and bronchial mucous membrane. It is a boon in miasmatic districts, along rivers, marshes, etc, and in all conditions where there is a great deal of bone-pain. Cachexia from old chronic, bilious intermittents. Worn-out constitutions from inebriety. Sluggishness of all organs and functions. Bone-pains, general and severe. Soreness.

The story about vitamin B17 appears in the worldwithoutcancer.org.uk website. Many names of doctors from various countries are given recommending the use of vitamin B17 to fight cancer and its outstanding success. Unfortunately, there is no information whether the efficacy has been proved by double blinded studies. The ENT surgeon’s story is remarkable. Her one kidney with the ureter and a little part of the bladder were removed and given radiotherapy seven years ago. She remained well for seven years and then in November 2009 there was a recurrence and a growth was removed close to the bladder. After eating manioc for one month she felt better and cystoscopy hadn’t revealed any pathology. She attributes this cure to vitamin B17 in manioc. The ENT surgeon remained well for seven years after the first treatment (surgery and radiotherapy). Recurrence was detected in November 2009 and a growth was removed surgically. I am of opinion that it is too early to get a recurrence within four months after the second operation, as the first recurrence was after seven years, and attributing the remission to taking manioc for one month is premature. I personally hope and pray that the learned surgeon will not get a recurrence even after several years. This anti-tumour agent in manioc and other seeds — Vitamin B17, is commonly known as Amygdalin or Laetrile. According to Dr. Ernest T. Krebs, Jr. its components make it vital for our survival without cancer. The greatest concentration is found in the seeds of the rosaceous fruits, such as the apricot pits and other bitter nuts. Various documents from the oldest civilisations such as Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs and from China 2,500 years before Christ mention the therapeutic use of derivatives of bitter almonds. Egyptian papyri from 5,000 years ago mention the use of “aqua amigdalorum” for the treatment of some tumours of the skin. But the systematised study of Vitamin B-17 really did not begin until the first half of the past century, when the chemist Bohn discovered in 1802 that during the distillation of the water from bitter almonds hydrocyanic acid was released. Soon many researchers became interested in analysing this extract and so Robiquet and Boutron isolated, for the first time, a white crystalline substance which they called AMYGDALIN. This is what the FDA has to say: “In the US the Food and Drug Administration has used regulation, not law, to keep doctors in some states from using Laetrile therapy. There is no federal law against Laetrile, nor does Laetrile appear on an official list of proscribed items. The Food and Drug Administration has also used regulation, not law, to ban the interstate shipment and sale of Laetrile by alleging that it is either an ‘unlicensed new drug’ or an ‘unsafe or adulterated food or food additive.’ It is neither. Amygdalin is an extract of apricot kernels, which makes it a food supplement and nothing more. Vitamin B-17 was the subject of great controversy 18 years ago when some of the world’s top scientists claimed that when consumed, its components make it 100% impossible to develop cancer and will kill existing cancer. “Pharmaceutical companies pounced on this claim immediately and demanded that FDA studies be conducted. Pharmaceutical companies conduct studies on patented chemicals they invent so that at the end of their study, if the drug gets approved, they have exclusive rights to its sale. They never conduct studies on foods that cannot be patented and that can be sold at any supermarket (e.g. vitamins).” Foods that contain Vitamin B17 are: KERNELS OR SEEDS OF FRUIT: The highest concentration of vitamin B-17 can be found in nature, aside from bitter almonds — apple, apricot, cherry, nectarine, peach, pear, plum, prune. The cancer cell, which is an immature cell, has a different enzyme, beta-glucosidase, which breaks the B17 into glucose, benzaldehyde and hydrocyanic acid. The hydrocyanic acid acts like an LTTE cyanide capsule, killing the cancer cell. I appeal to all cancer patients to try the manioc solution. If it works, it could be a great discovery for cancer patients around the world, especially those living in the tropics of Asia, Africa and the Americas, where manioc / cassava / tapioca grows and is freely available. Please note that there are precautions to be taken in the preparation of manioc. 1. Never, repeat never, eat ginger with manioc, or even after consuming manioc. If you have been eating manioc, do not take any form of ginger or ginger products, such as ginger beer and ginger-nut biscuits. The serious risks of mixing ginger with manioc are well known in Sri Lanka. 2. When preparing manioc for eating, check whether the tuber shows a blue line when peeled for cooking. If there is a blue line, the manioc must be rejected. Manioc has cyanide in it and the blue line is an indication of cyanide emergence. 3. Cook manioc in an earthenware pot. Fill the pot with water to completely cover the manioc, and well above the level of the manioc. When boiling, keep the pot open. Do not close the pot with a lid.
